it dropped the fist "clean surface" ceramic tile. to be fair, its vibration is great. I needed it for lifting tiles so I had to return itI was able to use this to break up old tiles that were still seated pretty well. It doesn't really grab them, but that wasn't an issue. It's just something that needs to be worked around. I haven't tried using it for installation yet, but I think it will probably work a little better installing than removing. I'll update my review if there's anything more I can say about it once I've had the chance to fully utilize it.Necessary tool for home projects. I wasn't sure it would work with subway tiles but I didn't have the steady hand to lay and shift these without assistance. It was much harder to use on smaller tiles as far as releasing them but worked really well on 16x16 tiles I laid in my garage.I would imagine a professional would have a far more efficient method, but for DIY and small home projects it's a great assetGreat little machine for 12"x12" tiles. Had a hard time using it for the first time, but once you get the hang of it, you're good to go! I was able to try it out on 48"x48" to see if it did anything, and came to the conclusion that you couldn't use it. The biggest tile I felt comfortable using it was 12x24.I am no contractor by any means. As a matter of fact, knowing I was going to tackle a DIY project of tiling my (tiny, but thank God it IS tiny haha) kitchen caused me a ton of anxiety. I've been single now for just over 11yrs and can't afford to hire projects out, so I decided to do it myself! When I saw this, I grabbed it to try to help me make sure i didn't have any air pockets and that my tiles would be level. -Then, I had major anxiety worrying that I wouldn't be able to use this tile vibrator. That it would be too complicated for me to use! All of my worry was for nothing! This thing is SO easy to use and made my DIY go a lot quicker and easier! I really can't say that my floor would've came out so well without it lol. The price point is great on this. It was easy to use and understand the directions. No issues with feeling like tile has air trapped underneath and they are all level when walking on them.
