This tile cutter is key to any project you have with large and oversized tiles. Not everyone needs a large wet saw (or can afford it) but it seems the big tiles are in so you have to have a safe way to cut them. This large manual tile cutter is designed specifically for cutting tiles up to 78 inches long and between 0.12 and 0.47 inches thick. The cutter claims it's designed to make clean, precise cuts with minimal damage to the tile. The cutter also features a scoring roller with four wear-resistant wheels for smooth travel and an anti-slip extended handle which is nice when you have to cut a lot of tile. It gets tiring after awhile. I dont have any DIY projects at home at the moment but I did have some spare tiles so I tried it and it was smooooth. My nephew is an independent tile installer so I loaned it to him for his last job and he said it was a huge save. He can't justify having a large wet saw and he gets a lot of jobs here in Florida that are bathrooms but he gets semi-regular flooring jobs so he has been renting this tool when needed. He said this was a huge save because the rental units are always dull and take extra care to ensure he doesnt crack tiles. He also loved that this was portable and had it's own bag because setup and teardown for jobs is a chore. I asked why he didnt own one of these manual ones and he said...too expensive for how often I need them. I showed him the price tag on this one and his response was...for THAT I'll buy one! Apparently the local big box home improvement stores are 'a tad' more expensive. Well worth it.
