Needed a rolling stool for my work desk. It was super easy to assemble. Two things stood out for me, quality and comfort.Chair is comfortable and was extremely easy to set up. Wife very happy.Seems well made and is exactly what we wanted, a hard wood seat with no back to practice sitting up straight.I have 3 of these stools I'm handicapped and I just run all over the house and out on the porches love ,love, love , these stools .......I have 3 stools brand new looking for a new home , I baught before I purchased the wood rolling stools ...lol ? ....Gloria Howard ...This is quite a comfy little stool, nice and wide, and glides across the floor. It's sturdily made and I really like the flat wood seat (as opposed to the cushioned rolling stools). You know you're seated for good on this one.Stars for good looks, one-of-it's-kind, durability, 12yr + lifetime warranty & price. Deduct two stars for comfort and practicality. Have had my perch wood stool over 2 yrs, with optional foot ring. Flat top, medium bench model. Can't use as much as would like due to discomfort issue. My work involves highly detailed work requiring concentration where one must sit extended periods. Reason uncomfortable is because edge not tapered but sharp--no rolled edge which cuts off leg circulation. You would think elevating your feet on foot ring would help, however I find my feet most always planted on floor since leaning over my work doesn't always allow to use foot rest. Thus leg circulation always gets cut off making the stool unusable. Apparently earlier models had tapered edge based on earlier photographs. Mine and the current ones being sold do not.this is spare seating in our cramped office. love how easily it moves around. we also use it to hold a carton or tray of food some times, when eating at our desks. easily as useful as a tv tray! it looks very nice with mid-century modern decor.
