We have a horrible kitchen but haven't committed to a full remodel yet- we haven't decided if we are going to expand the kitchen into the garage- we hate the 'angled' kitchen, the old granite counters, and the cabinets, so while we mull over our choices, we decided to update the tile backsplash so it isn't so ugly. We wanted something temporary- that didn't involve grout or stone or pulling out the old backsplash. The old backsplash looked more like bathroom tile (previous owner's taste was questionable at best), and rather than tear it up, we tried this product. It worked great! I was skeptical about it at first because I had expectations of nasty contact paper pop in my head- but it is NOTHING like contact paper. It had real metal tiles. We didn't need to put additional adhesive or rough up the old tile. We simply applied these directly over it. No construction, no mess. My husband had to make several cuts to the tiles - but once he got used to it, it was easy. He used both a chop saw (which was recommended) and the table saw (which he found easier to use). So these go on quickly and we've had them for about 5-6 weeks and they are staying 'stuck' and look fabulous. If I wasn't so interested in ripping my entire kitchen out, I would want to keep these tiles forever.I used this for my backsplash. I was very pleased with the product to begin with, and more so after it was installed. The look was more than satisfactory, and installation, while requires planning, is as easy as the video suggests. Adhesion was great, but I added some because I took the second route - I chose not to clean the backsplash as required. If highly recommend this product.I bought this for a kitchen backsplash and it came out good . Before installation I bought a wet tile saw and 2 pair of different snips . Of coarse I didn't use water with the saw but I didn't have a table saw and this came with the right blade for me . ( And Cheaper and easier to store than a good table saw )I now have a miter saw that I could have used and it would have been better, but I didn't own it at installation time . Snips didn't work very well for me . The metal would bend . Didn't use and extra glue . Tiles stick good . Hardest part was and out of square area . Had very little waste . Would buy again .It was difficult to cut, but for my small job I used tin snips. For anything larger I would use a saw set up of some sort. I used construction adhesive on the back due to my wall being uneven.Alignment is your greatest worry, get it wrong and you could be in big trouble.Great value.. easy to install and I love my new backsplash!Looks good out of the box, but I still have to get my new counter tops installed before actually put the tiles up. I think it will look nice. Was easy to install and looks great. I found that using a Dremel tool with a diamond blade was the easiest way of cutting the material. I had to cut out for 8 receptacle/switch boxes and also for the starting fill ins and the ending areas.
